Ikea’s new cardboard digital camera, the KNÄPPA, will be given away for free when customers purchase the PS 2012 furniture collection. It is said to have an extremely lo-fi picture quality, and Ikea are hoping customers will take photos of their newly-assembled furniture sets.

I’m tipping we’ll see a new Instagram filter out of this at some point: “Knäppa”.

One for the designers among us! Check out this brilliant new iPhone app by Santiago Zavala. Using the iPhone’s built-in camera, you can capture a colour palette of whatever you’re currently looking at, then share it via email, Twitter or Facebook. It even gives you the RGB and HEX values for the colours! I tested it on my tea cup and this was the result. - Adam
